Then join our fabulous trip in December that covers three locations in three days!
DAY 1: ZAGREB
This trip will start quite early on a Friday morning, December 1st, where we will meet up in front of the University of Vienna. With our bus we will make our way to Zagreb, the capital of Croatia.
After our arrival, we will first check-in at the hostel and then have a little time to settle in. In the afternoon, a guided city tour will introduce us to the most important sights and the history of Zagreb. After that, you'll have some free time to explore the city yourself. How about visiting the "Museum of Broken Relationships"? Or the "Museum of Illusion"? In the evening, we will have a typical Croatian dinner, before discovering Zagreb's nightlife with a pubcrawl that will show us at least four different bars in the city.
DAY 2: PLITVICE
The next day we will depart to the amazingly beautiful national park Plitvice! On our tour, we will have the chance to see crystal-clear turquoise lakes and breathtaking waterfalls. Depending on the weather, we might see it covered in snow and ice, which transforms it into winter wonderland.
After returning to Zagreb in the late afternoon, you will have some time on your own, either to explore Zagreb's wonderful christmas markets, get first christmas presents, have some "Glühwein" or "Punsch", visit more museums, the Funicular Railway or just to relax and get ready for the party. ESN Zagreb has offered to organise a party night for us! It will be a unique get-together of both ESN sections with their exchange students and will for sure bring a lot of fun!
DAY 3: MARIBOR
Our third and last day will bring us to Maribor, the second biggest city of Slovenia. A city tour in the morning will give us an insight into Slovenia's history and show us the must-see sights. After a typical Slovenian lunch we will have strenghtend our powers for a wine-tasting that will follow then. In the afternoon, you will have some free time to spend in Maribor. In the evening, we will make our way back home to Vienna, where we will arrive approx. at 11:00 pm.
